Deadline for Recording Notices of Claim Under Michigan’s Marketable Record Title Act Extended Again
On March 28, 2024, one day before the deadline to record notices under Michigan’s Marketable Record Title Act to preserve interests in land more than 40 years old, Public Act 20 of 2024 was signed into law, extending the deadline until September 29, 2025. As this marks the second extension of this deadline, additional amendments to the Marketable Record Title Act to clarify its intended scope or provide further extensions are certainly possible.
