Scott concentrates his practice at Gielow Groom Terpstra & McEvoy in the areas of real estate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions and negotiating various business agreements.
As a leading attorney in Muskegon, Scott has more than 38 years of experience practicing law and is highly respected in the area of real estate. He has represented developers, landlords, tenants, commercial and industrial property owners, school systems, townships, financial institutions, and individuals in matters relating to the acquisition, sale, leasing, and zoning of real property. Scott has published several articles and regularly speaks on a variety of real estate related topics, such as adverse possession, boundary disputes, oil and gas leases, real estate transfer taxes, liens, and title issues. Scott has handled the acquisition and sale of dozens of businesses in Michigan and throughout the United States. Scott enjoys resolving complicated real estate matters and negotiating complex business deals.
