Michala is a Grand Haven native, graduating from Grand Haven High School. During high school, Michala was a member of the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council, reviewing and approving grants to improve her West Michigan community. Wishing to remain in West Michigan, Michala attended Hope College, majoring in psychology and minoring in business.

Experience

Michala obtained her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law school and served as the Managing Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. During her law school career, Michala gained legal experience working for the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office and local law firms specializing in litigation and family law.

After graduation, Michala was eager to join the Gielow Groom Terpstra & McEvoy law firm as a family law and litigation attorney. She enjoys giving back to the community she was raised in and serving clients that make West Michigan the amazing place it is.
