Keith focuses on the areas of business lawreal estateMichigan liquor licenses, and agriculture.

Experience

After graduating from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Keith relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where for seven years, he owned and operated a corporate fitness and cardiac rehabilitation business. He experienced first-hand many of the challenges that face business owners on a daily basis. Through this, he gained a strong appreciation for the entrepreneurial spirit that drives business owners. Keith uses the perspective he gained as a small business owner to become an accomplished Muskegon attorney and has been offering clients sound, practical legal and business advice for over twenty years.

Keith concentrates his practice in the purchase and sale of businesses and real estate. He provides small and mid-sized companies with legal counsel on areas ranging from contract and lease negotiations, employee matters, compliance issues, and general business matters. He has developed a specialty across the spectrum of Michigan liquor license types and matters from alcohol manufacturing and distribution licensing to retail licensing involving the issuance, transfer, and maintenance of liquor licenses in connection with the purchase and sale of bars, restaurants, and convenience stores.

As part of the Gielow Groom Terpstra & McEvoy law firm in Muskegon, Keith has also gained extensive experience in agricultural law, representing small to large agricultural growing operations, packaging and distribution centers, and agricultural cooperatives.
